Standard and extra-light EPS for general molding

Standard E-grade is a broad-use material for packaging, insulation, fishing floats, craft work, and common molded parts. P-extra light is aimed at higher foaming ratios and lighter boards or packaging, but the buyer should check whether the finished part still has enough edge strength and compression resistance.

Fast-molding and flame-retardant EPS

B-fast grade is aimed at shorter curing and molding cycles, which can help a high-throughput line when the machine and mold are already matched to the material. F, FB, FS, and FSH grades address different flame-retardant and strength requirements. For these materials, aging time, residual blowing-agent release, density, thickness, and the actual fire-test method affect the production plan. Graphite and carbon-modified EPS for thermal or functional needs

Graphite and carbon-modified materials are useful when thermal efficiency, sound insulation, color stability, or anti-static performance matters. For light decorative parts, look at extra-light material. For short molding cycles, review fast grades. For precision packaging, consider anti-static, standard, or customized REPS options. These are starting points, not automatic approvals.

Match the material to equipment and production conditions

A grade may perform well in a brochure and still fail on a different line. Confirm machine type, steam pressure, mold filling, pre-expansion density, curing time, cooling, and demolding rhythm. Sample parts should be made on equipment close to the planned production line, then checked for density, fusion, dimensions, and surface quality.

Match the grade to the market and after-sales risk

Construction buyers may prioritize flame rating and long-term dimensional stability; cold-chain buyers may care more about insulation time and lid sealing; electronics distributors may prioritize impact protection, static control, and repeatable fit.
